2013 4th Annual Pittwater Hydro Derby Summer Invitational, HDIV, Social Athletes

HDIV Team Profile: Fear & Loathing

“Some may never live, but the crazy never die” – Hunter S. Thompson

As a wave of pre Hydro-Derby excitement crested and broke on the front steps of Hydro-Derby HQ we happened upon the charred husk of justice and truth, clinging to it’s future and delivering this message…

Weird heroes and mould-breaking champions exist as living proof to those who need it that the tyranny of ‘the rat race’ is not yet final. It’s a strange world. Some people get rich and others eat shit and die.

This is going to be a very expensive war, and Victory is not guaranteed — for anyone. We shall ride the bouncing ball and fight gamely to avoid being on the bottom when it bounces. It ain’t much, but it’s the only weapon we have against the fish.

The Edge… There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over…

We have taken this as the formal entry by Team Fear & Loathing, captained by two time Hydro-Derby champion Rusty “Codfather” Trombone. Fresh from the deep southern latitudes he has conscripted both past legends and future stars to round out this hotly anticipated defense against the malevolent forces of ‘The Help’.

Stewards will be turning up the scrutiny for this team, already expecting unorthodox tactics and misdirection from these wily veterans intent on victory. What fresh hell will they unleash on the Hydro-Arena, will no depravity be too low?

  1. “Its usually good to master tips like you share for the purpose of blog writing. As I merely started writing comments for the purpose of blog in addition to facing difficulty of plenty of rejections. I imagine your suggestion may be helpful for me. I enable you to know any time its work with me much too. “
